Jesus Family Ministry was founded in the USA in 2005 by Pastor Oswin Michael, driven by a heartfelt mission to reach those who have not yet encountered the gospel, with a strong focus on mission work. Since its founding, Jesus Family Ministry has established many churches worldwide and built schools to uplift underprivileged communities. Alongside our church network, we offer vital support to countless individuals, families, and churches. While our headquarters is based in Jersey City, NJ, our ministry extends across the United States and worldwide.
Our Founders
Pastor Oswin Michael & Sis. Sheeba Oswin
Pastor Oswin Michael and his wife, Sis. Sheeba Oswin, are full-time missionaries serving our Lord Jesus Christ. Together they founded Jesus Family Ministry with a heart of compassion to reach the unreached with Christ’s gospel and help the needy. They have established churches and schools in India, Sri Lanka, Haiti, Dominican Republic, East Africa, Australia, and Malaysia. Through this ministry, many widows, orphans, and needy people are helped. Pastor Oswin and Sis. Sheeba are blessed with three beautiful daughters.
Sis. Sheeba Oswin has a great burden and vision for Christian education. She started homeschooling her daughters with a Christian curriculum and volunteered at a local Christian school in Jersey City for almost seven years. In 2022, God miraculously opened the door to start Jesus Family Academy, a Christian school at the church.

From India to The Nations
Pastor Oswin Michael was born and brought up in a Roman Catholic family in a village called Sadayalputhur in Kanyakumari District, Tamil Nadu, South India. His mother was a teacher and his father was a Panchayat Officer. He was brought up in a devoted Christian family with strong Christian principles. His father and family were involved in Christian Mission organizations and voiced out for oppressed Christians during the early days.
As a teenager, Pastor Oswin wanted to become a Catholic Priest. He joined the Kottar Diocese Seminary in Kanyakumari District and studied for one year. He then studied Diploma in Civil Engineering. Due to various afflicting situations in his life, he moved from Kanyakumari to Nagaland, Bombay (now Mumbai),and Chennai. During this dark period, it was the pure grace of God that kept him alive. The Lord Jesus Christ intervened at the right time, and Pastor Oswin moved to Bahrain. God gave him a good job, and he regularly attended church. He gave his life 100% to the Lord and received God’s salvation on April 24, 1994. He then took Immersion Baptism and received the anointing of the Holy Spirit.
In 1996, the Lord saved him from a major head-on collision in Bahrain without a scratch. God used him mightily in hospitals and churches in Bahrain, giving him gifts to deliver the demon-possessed. He had a thirst for souls, sharing the Word of God with all his co-workers. In 1998, Pastor Oswin returned to India and married Sis. Sheeba by the will of God on December 7 at New Life Assembly of God Church, Saidapet, Chennai. In January 1999, they registered Jesus Family Ministry as a Christian Religious and Social Trust. That same month, they visited village churches in Thiruvannamalai District, opening closed churches and reaching unreached souls. By the pure grace of God, Pastor Oswin came to the United States, a Christian nation, where the Lord continues to do mighty things through this ministry. Today, Jesus Family Ministry supports widows, feeds orphan children, operates tailoring schools, and supports full-time pastors and evangelists across multiple nations.
